Dr. Felipe Cameroamortegui was born and raised in Bogota Colombia.  He later came to the US and enlisted in the US navy where he served as a hospital corpsman for 5 years. Dr. Cameroamortegui earned a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Sciences at University of Southern Florida and a Masters Degree in Public Heatlh at Michigan State University.  He attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Motivated by a strong desire  for pediatric care during my medical training,  he completed residency at  Michigan State at the Children's Hospital of Michigan. Dr. Cameroamortegui  has cared for pediatric patients in both  the outpatient and inpatient settings, in both large academic settings and community clinics.  He  now has the privilege of caring for patients at San Diego Uptown Pediatrics.  Dr. Cameroamortegui is a fully bilingual Spanish / English pediatrician. In his spare time  he truly enjoys spending every minute with my wife, who is a family medicine physician,  and my own little ones.  He enjoys traveling, trying different foods and enjoying everything San Diego has to offer.
